The slice is designed with an extra large front chainring that provides the gear ratios necessary to conquer any terrain with only 8 gears. We believe that for most people, 24 or 27 gears are completely unnecessary and just get in the way of your enjoyable riding experience. The microSHIFT grip shifter makes shifting completely intuitive and fun; you click the grip away from you to go to the next higher gear and towards you to go to the next lower gear. The large numerical display on the hand grip lets you see what gear you are in at a glance.

The slice is made from lightweight 7005 aluminum and is easy to put in and out of the trunk, carry into the office or classroom, or store in the apartment closet. The seat is comfortable but firm, allowing you to stay in the saddle as long as you like. The rear mounted kickstand is out of the way but convenient for those moments when you actually have to stop riding. High quality rims and high-powered V-brakes round out the design.

The Slice folding bike is a one size fits all. It works for riders 4’ 8” to 6’ 3” in height. The seat post is a whopping 550mm long to accommodate all sizes in between. We recommend that a rider’s weight be under 240 lbs.

Saddle Adjustment

Saddle Height

When your saddle height is adjusted properly, you should have a small bend in your knee when your foot is at the bottom of the pedal stroke and you are sitting comfortably. If you have the saddle height too low, you will lose pedaling efficiency and will have to work much harder-we definitely don’t want that. If you have the saddle height too high, you will be stretching just to pedal and your pelvis will have to rock side to side with each pedal stroke. Adjust the saddle height by opening and then closing the quick release lever.

Saddle Front to Back

This adjustment determines how well balanced you are on the bicycle. If you move the saddle forward, you will end up with more of your weight being supported by the saddle itself. If you move the saddle backwards, you will end up with more of your weight being supported by your arms and hands. You can experiment to find the sweet spot that is the most comfortable riding position for you. Adjust the saddle position by loosening the nut under the saddle on the right side of the seat post

Saddle Tilt

For the most comfortable riding position, adjust the saddle to be as level as possible. Newer riders sometimes desire the saddle to be pointed downward to ease discomfort in the groin area. This adjustment will make it difficult to stay in the saddle, slightly unsafe, and will cause more problems for the body in the long run. The melon slice folding bike is provided with a comfortable well padded seat. We suggest that you allow yourself time to get acclimated to the seat in the level position if you are new to riding. Adjust the angle of the saddle by loosening the nut under the saddle on the right side of the seat post.

Order Status and Tracking:

You will receive three emails when you order: the first confirms your order; the second confirms that your payment has been processed, and the third confirms your shipment and provides a tracking number. Check the status of your package(s) by the tracking number at www.ups.com or www.fedex.com.

Incorrect Addresses:

If UPS or FedEx has to make a change to the address that you provide us, they add an additional charge to us. In order to keep our shipping costs low, our policy is to charge this secondary charge at a later date if the address provided to us was incorrect. Please make sure you enter the correct address initially with apartment or unit numbers specified.

Shipping Charges are Non-refundable:

If a bicycle or accessory item is returned to us for any reason, the shipping charges are non-refundable.

Damage Claims:

If your bicycle has been damaged in shipping, please contact UPS at 1-800-742-5877 or FedEx at 1-800-463-3339. If you would like us to assist with your claim, please contact us as well.

Sales Tax:
